Seduction Cinema rolls out all the moves with THE WITCHES OF SAPPHO SALON, one more of their latest DVD releases. Sadly, this doesn’t have the very lovely Misty Mundae, but there are plenty of vixens to make up in this erotic witch coven tale. Our story is set in a very old beauty salon inhabited by a coven of witches. They seek the blood of a virgin ever 30 years to stay young and beautiful. Not just any virgin though, they have to have the right sign, meaning the right birth date. Their search ends when the very succulent Janet walks into their palour. The coven is on her like a pack of wolves, not to tear her apart, but to lure her in. Oh, one problem though, Janet’s boyfriend Leon suspects something going on and continues to warn her. Janet seemingly becoming more and more enthralled as if becoming one with the pack herself. Leon becomes more worried about Janet’s adventures to the ssalon, so he start investigating the salon. He learns of what the witches plan on doing with Janet, to sacrifice her on the right night to bath in her blood. As the night approaches and with receptive warnings, Janet is lured in and Leon is right behind her. The ending I will keep to myself without spoiling, a truly great twist will have you going "I KNEW THAT WAS GOING TO HAPPEN!", ya right!
This is yet another offering from director Tony Marsigha (SIN SISTERS, DR. JEKYELL AND MISTRESS HYDE). Though very entertaining in the end run, SAPPHO SALON seems very weak in comparison to his other films. Weak acting, hell we know you’re not looking for great acting in a film like this, but it’s something I must point out. Storyline is sub-par and does tend to make you lose interest in areas, but like usual the sexy vixens keep those eyes in check! All is not lost with this film though, it’s score like most Seduction Cinema productions, rock! Very gothic with spills of great electronic fills. The other great point, well if you are male, female in some cases as well....no need for mention! To put in good terms, another tantalizing treat but don't expect anything more!
Once again this Seduction Cinema DVD is packed with loads of extras. The feature of course is rounded out by a behind the scenes look at the film. There is also a bonus feature called THE WITCHING (1993) from EI’s VIDEO THREAT collection and of course the usual round of trailers. The DVD itself is presented in full-screen and carries a DOLBY DIGITAL stereo.
