IN THE FOLDS OF THE FLESH (1970)
I just watched the new excellent Severin DVD of this mad Sergio Bergonzelli item. I'm not sure if it's a giallo in the technical sense but it does have numerous gory beheadings, stabbings, death by poison gas, et al by a mad killer, or a family of mad killers. The music, camerawork, editing, costuming are all off the wall. I must say the faded beauty of Eleanora Rossi Drago and the fading beauty of the soon to be dead (by suicide) of Pier Angeli adds a rather morbid subtext for the tale of the most dysfunctional family. And it's always good to have Fernando Sancho on hand (wearing a priceless fright wig) to enjoy torturing the main characters.

RE: IN THE FOLDS OF THE FLESH (1970)
I am super stoked to finally get this Severin release, and of course see the film itself. IN THE FOLDS OF THE FLESH sounds like a fine cup of insanity!
In regards Pier Angeli (an actress who has always fascinated me through the highs and lows of her life), I've for years thought that her death was an accidental overdose. At least, I've seen it mentioned through numerous sources as such. Are we sure Angeli took her own life intentionally? Mind you, she did go from James Dean to OCTAMAN (1971)
