Noticed it hasn't yet been mentioned here at CN, but it is going around all over the net. Tony over at Xploited has decided to close up shop.

Quite the shocker as I know many folks counted heavily on Xploited for top-notch service in acquiring discs from around the world, many being titles we all know and love.

Tough loss for the Euro-cult collector and avid customers who deal with Tony. Get what you want now because he himself has said, he will not be re-stocking once the well is dry.

Indeed a very sad day, but Tony will forever be associated with Quality at Xploited. He has done the fans proud & excelled in the field of genre goodies provider. A great guy & one I wish the very best to for the future.

Ok, forget that last post of mine. I just read Tony's message via the site and received an email back from him personally telling me the full details. As many of you know, Tony/X-Ploited Cinema has been a CN sponsor since late 2002, since the beginning almost. We have worked hand in hand to promote many of his titles here and at times he linked our reviews on his pages..I have to say, all though this is sad news, it is understandable why he has decided to phase things out. I for one will always say X-Ploited Cinema has from day one been THE best source for imported DVDs from around the world here for the North American market! Thanks Tony for gives us not only the best selections, but the best services and most of all...being a friend to CN!

I can only second what has been said here already. Xploited is the online store I mostly use when buying DVD and I've always been extremely satisfied with my purchases. I'm not really sure where the hell I'll be buying large DVD batches from now actually!!

That sucks... I've bought many import DVD's from him. This is sad news indeed.

So, where are you guys getting your DVDs from now? Personally, I don't really think that there are any other sites that are going to be able to fill the huge void that Xploited leaves behind. Not only was the service great and the shipping fast but the site was very up to date and a great way to keep track of all the new DVD releases that were happening all over the planet. Without Xploited I am much less up to date on new releases. Crap!

Yep..I'm with you on that Johan! I have remained faithful to Tony/X-Ploited of course with stray grabs on other sites and eBay. The only other place that I will probably have to resort to is Jesse over at DiabolikDVD. Still, it's not the same!
