La Cabina

I just got my hands on this Spanish made for TV short film from 1972. La Cabina is a weird little flick about a guy who gets trapped in a telephone booth and no one can get him out of it.
It's a pretty simple film but I think it works well and it has a pretty freaky ending.
Anyone else ever see this?

RE: La Cabina

I've never seen it but I have heard about it. I believe this one actually played on TV in English-speaking territories as well, and seems to be held in high esteem. It certainly sounds extremely interesting, with an intriguing premise, and I'd love to able to check it out.

Another selling point for me is the fact that it stars José Luis López Vázquez, who is an absolutely amazing actor! He was totally excellent in a very obscure Spanish film called NO ES BUENO QUEL EL HOMBRE ESTE SOLO (1973), which is worth seeing if you can find the English subtitled Spanish dvd. He was also the comedic police inspector in the Carroll Baker giallo THE FOURTH VICTIM (1971) and I'd love to be able to check him out in something else.

So how is the availability of this one?

I love the plot alone for LA CABINA. Sounds totally unique! Was this a DVD-R you grabbed Demented or an actual label release?

I've never heard of the actor, but read about this little film and I needed to see it Smile. The one I have is a DVD-R that I would imagine was ripped from TV. I bought it from Visual-Pain .

Ah, yes, I'm familiar with Visual-Pain and have ordered from them a couple of times. The quality of their stuff is a bit hit and miss I really must say but their prices are quite reasonable.

And the plot of LA CABINA does indeed sound very unique, and like something Luis Buñuel could have come up with. I'm going to have to make it a priority to see this one.

RE: La Cabina

Finally saw this and it's really something else. I saw it with english subs but the story is actually simple enough to be viewed in Spanish without subs too. The ending is unforgettable!!!
