Great to see that the Director of the 'Empty' promise 'Horror' of The Blair Witch Project , Eduardo Sánchez , has an ability to make a true unsettling flick. Altered , is the tale of shattered friends taking revenge on an Alien following the abduction & death of their friend several years earlier. The tension & claustrophobic setting here works so very well. The story never turns 'Hollywood' and the characters are well structured. A neat green Alien critter with teath & a 'Rambo' attitude , gets to grips with its captors as they do not have it all their own way. There is much more at stake though as the main character proves to be Alien savvy to the satisfying conclusion. Very much worth seeking out on DVD. bb
