RE: GRINDHOUSE (2007)

The anticipation of release is like licking the envelope showing side of a set of stamps. You can almost taste the glue but there's no calorific value but you dare to be different & that is what Tarantino & Rodriguez have dared. Here's hoping its a First Class delivery.
The whole double movie scenario is terrific & the joy of some bogus Fun trailers is absolutely wonderful. Bring on Machette & Nic Cage as a Werewolf SS killing machine. All we need now is a sequel with Sylvester Stallone & Arnold Schwarzeneggar amongst the cast list or in one of those mock trailers. Arnie as a Doc Savage character tearing limbs off of some Jungle mutant apes would be so very Fun. Stallone as an Vietnam Vet with bionic limbs taking on the Vietcong who tortured him to near death with Chris Mitchum as his renegade C.I.A buddy providing him with top secret new munitions would be awesome.
I really am so looking forward to this ... BUT ... please dear lord may the rumour mill of a European two single movie release be just a rumour !!!!. bb

RE: GRINDHOUSE (2007)

I like where Tarantino and Rodriguez are going with their ideas here, but somehow I don't think this will be well received by the general public. GRINDHOUSE seems more for drive-in flick fans and people a little more familiar with the overall territory of "fringe" cinema.

RE: GRINDHOUSE (2007)

I'm really looking forward to this flick. I think it's more for the nostalgic value and to bring back the feeling of seeing these types of films in old theaters and the midnight shows.
I like these types of movies and I have a feeling Tarantino and Rodriguez will pull it off just right.
Well at least I'm hoping so.

I agree, I think this film could be really great fun. However, I'm pretty angry I'm not going to get the chance to see them as originally conceived (it gets split here). For those that's seen it, should I be?

Me and my girlfriend both loved the grindhouse experience. I have seen previous grindhouse films back in the 70's, but this was her first experience. Both of us prefered Planet Terror and I liked Death Proof more then she did. The trailers were good and overall the program brought me back to the 70's. I will be getting the dvd when it is finally released in whatever form they decide. Cool

RE: GRINDHOUSE (2007)

I'm not buying them seperately. If it isn't released as "Grindhouse", the way it was meant to be, than forget it. Thats the only way I'm going to buy it.
