Classic 80's Canadian slasher being thrown through the remake cycle...in the US for that matter. Better be good!

Probably not, at least Jensen Ackles from SUPERNATURAL is casted in this, though I'm not banking on that to help any!
TRAILER
Well, it looks more faithful than most remakes - I'll give it that. I'm sort of intrigued by the 3-D aspect and as I said, the fact that it generally sticks to the coal miner's garb and setting. However, it looks too glossed-up to generate huge interest. Not to mention, we all know how I feel about horror remakes
Haven't made my mind up on this one yet. What I'd really love (along with legions of others who've been screaming for it for years) is for the original to finally see the light of day in its most complete form. Come on Paramount, give it up already!
The original is one of those Eighties Horror Video classics & as Devin says long overdue a proper DVD release in all its Uncut glory. Let's hope this 3D remake is successful enough to prompt a release for the first one & doesn't turn out to be the 'Pits' !. bb
Sharp eye, Johan! This is the news MY BLOODY VALENTINE fans have been wanting to hear for a good 20 plus years!
I personally am absolutely ecstatic about this news piece regarding an extremely sought after DVD release of an uncut and absolutely complete MY BLOODY VALENTINE, which has been in the fondest dreams of slasher fans across the map for ages. This may go down as one of the most anticipated discs of 2009, I'd go as far to say. I know it's a safe bet to assume that the majority of Nocturnites here at CN will be lining up to grab this already in demand, soon to be restored coal mining massacre classic.
A huge and sincere THANK YOU to the folks at Lionsgate for finally acknowledging the legions of MY BLOODY VALENTINE fans who've been asking for this treatment for all too long. It means very much to us and I'm certain more importantly than anyone, director George Mihalka, who no doubt just wanted to see his masterpiece receive the proper special touch it has rightfully deserved since it's initial presentation to the MPAA. Most certainly a long time coming! And wow - it didn't even take hell to freeze over or pigs to fly. OUTSTANDING!

This makes the new MY BLOODY VALENTINE 3-D a lot less of an event if you ask me. The original will without question be taking the cake come the New Year with this news now out there for the masses to drool over. It certainly made this slasher lover's weekend
Thanks again, Johan!
