Has anyone seen this rare Tinto Brass giallo starring Ewa Aulin and Jean-Louis Trintignant? I'm actually surprised that he even directed a film of this nature given his background with exploitation as his main course. I noticed that Medusa released this onto DVD in Italy, but no English options available on it...

Just wondering the caliber of this film, is it worth seeing?
There was some talk about Cult Epics releasing this in an English-friendly version but I'm not sure if that's still happening or not.

The film itself sounds fascinating - I think some clips from the film can be seen in the doc included on BU's release of BABA YAGA (1973) btw.
I've heard it's excellent.. along with the other 1960's Tinto Brass films before he delved into the erotica mvie stage. Not that his erotica is bad, far from it, but I too am curious to see his two movies.
It would be great to see this I agree - I love both Aulin and Trintignant, having just seen him in MELANCHOLY BABY the other night starring opposite Jane Birkin.

I may have seen this film a long time ago on French TV as La cinquieme vitesse (trans. The Fifth Speed)... but I'm not sure.

I do like Ewa Aulin's strange choices in movies - from CANDY onwards.
Looks like this is being screened at the American Cinematheque at the Egyptian Theatre on July the 19th under the title DEADLY SWEET (in Italian with English subs). Follow the link and scroll down to find more info: http://egyptiantheatre.com/archive1999/2...s_2008.htm
