Caught this at a sneak preview a few nights ago. Deliberately avoided reading any of the reviews beforehand and am sure glad I didn't. Most film reviews these days consist of 50%-65% plot summary. The best way to enjoy MR. BROOKS is to see it without any prior knowledge of the storyline. So I was completely unprepared for one particularly shocking scene, which really threw me for a loop. I highly recommend MR. BROOKS.
