Why remake something that hasn't dated? There is nothing offensive nor un-PC about the film. What a waste of time. I understand re-makes, even though it isn't always imaginative, but when they are "cleaned up" like THE WICKER MAN was - it isn't worth viewing...

Hmmm. I have to say when I clicked on this thread, I assumed the animated re-make of Suspiria was "go"......thinking of well done Japanese Animation, with the culture's similarly complicated mythologies, I was excited.
However, a remake, for modern American audiences sounds very benign and pretty much like tripe.
As Exfandessixties said, Why remake such a timeless film to suit modern audiences....that is unless they are going to dumb it down.

Why anyone would want to remake Argento's Suspiria is totally beyond me. Suspiria was done in a way that a remake will be a waste of time. It will never be near as good as the original, with Argento's style of directing and the colors and dreamscape of it.
Naaah... I'm not interested in it and won't be seeing it, hell with that.

To me it's a perfect film and how do you improve on perfection? You don't, you just compromise it and alter it to present pop culture tastes and interests. The fact is that films cost so much now that they don't want writers who do truly original work, they want "safe" scripts or recycled shit or remakes or Tarantino style retrofits.
