I have to hand it to Mark and the rest of the CultCuts staff, they have produced a very highly informative genre magazine, great jump from cyberspace to pulp. This premiere magazine covers just about everything, articles, interviews and plenty of outstanding reviews. Just to cover some of the material that really stood out, here are some examples of what this 66 page black and white mag covers. Hey, what do you want when your sandwiched into between Fulci's LIZARD IN A WOMEN'S SKIN and a nude pic of the very lovely Barbara Bouchet as the inside covers. The inside only gets better, articles include a very extensive interview with Ted V.Mikels, everything you wanted to know about The Ring series of films and even a superb article on Grindhouse...plus much more. Several reviews also lament the the pages, such as Tinto Brass' THE KEY, Jonathan Reiss' CLEOPATRA'S SECOND HUSBAND and even King Hu's PAINTED SKY. There are so many I could keep you here for awhile. There's no shortage of pictures for those first lookovers and lazy days. CultCuts, is a good reason to continue to support both pulp magazines and independent ones at that. For people who enjoy the types of genres CultCuts cover, which is a wide range, do yourself a favor and pick this baby up. Issue 2 looks like it's going to be doubly as good, so hurry! For more info
