Three gangsters (Christoph, Twoface and Smutje) traveling in a souped up car called the Killerbus set out to complete there next job. They must hit a shady character by the name of Profit and his protection Karl. First they must recruit a lovely female to seduce Karl in order for the three of them to pull of the heist without any obstacles. Scooping out a local strip joint, they pick their femme fatale, Chantal. With everything in place, the crew set off for what looks to be a bloody fare.

35 minutes of pure explosive eye candy, laced with heart pumping action serves course to what plays out more like a full fledged feature film. Shot on 16 mm/16 mm super, this short film out of Germany promises much and certainly delivers the goods. Playing out like a psychedelic drug trip meeting a high energy music video, KILLERBUS generates a vision that will seduce your ever sense. There is no downtime giving here, no breaks, just end to end action in one form or another. Lushes females, fast car chases, gunplay and drug snorting, all of which play vital parts in this quick power punch. The highlighted car chase is mocked to give the viewer that classic videogame feel.

Directed by German Marc Fehse and co-scripted by Juliane Block. KILLERBUS was shot in both Germany and Spain. Spain being the exteriors and Germany being used for the interior shooting. One interesting quick note, famed undeground German film maker Olaf Ittebach was used for the major shoot-out in the warehouse scene. No mercy used in there either, blood, guts and more blood split. Everything about this film is very believable, especially the great acting jobs put in. The characters will all likeable and very realistic. The action sequences, though explained by the director as being the hardest part in the filming process, yet they all look very convincing.

Now, I had originally intended to review just the film as it being an indie, but since when it showed up I was surprised to see the famed German DVD company X-Rated Kult DVD had released this, well it was a giving that I review the disc as well. Put it this way, the film itself is only 35 minutes in length, but the extras more then double it. Starting with a very extensive look at the making of the film, you learn so much about the process. You are invited backstage to see the entire process from start to finish. Displaying some really entertaining footage of cast, crew and what they want through, especially the trouble they went through at the start of the shooting in Spain. The film itself is presented in 1.55 widescreen and carries just about every subtitling available. There is also an English audio track as well, either in 2.0 or 5.1 Dolby Digital. I would suggest watching this with English subtitles for full enjoyment.

Rounding out the rest of this packed with goodies DVD, there are also deleted scenes to choose from, trailers (KILLERBUS, ROSSA VENEZIA, K7B MUTATION), picture gallery and soundtrack. Also there are three shorts to enjoy as well, two of which are premieres. They include DAS HORSPIEL (premiere), DER BALKEN and an animated puppet short called FLIP and FLOP (premiere). That is not all, there is also videoclip for PRONOFLOW with two versions and also one for WOOFERBOARD. All presented with the exception of the making of, in German only.
