Jay Slater : The book came out two weeks in central London but should be available worldwide around now.
buckaroobanzai : Are the London stores stocking good supplies ?
Jay Slater : Well, they should but the cover has been bad for it as a lot of US distributors refuse to stock it
Devin Kelly : Jay, what made you decide out of all of the genres to cover cannibal and zombie films?
Jay Slater : That said, it has some good reviews coming in The Guardian, Bizarre, Uncut, etc.
Jay Slater : Delvin, it's a long story.
Devin Kelly : OK

Jay Slater : It was originally a long review of Zombi 2 over seven years ago.
Jay Slater : I then decided to cover more and the book was eventually born.

buckaroobanzai : It is funny in todays climate that America is shocked by such a cover but the UK is Okay after all the Video Nasty nonsence of the Eighties
Jay Slater : I was lucky enough to attend film festivals and asked the guests to write reviews and it was done and dusted.
BIGBOSSICHI : Jay give us a pictue of what your influences were during your youth and the cinema around London?
Jay Slater : Oh yeah, BB, I was very much surprised about how the US people reacted.
Devin Kelly : I think it's ridiculous that the cover of the book would prevent U.S. stores from carrying it
Jay Slater : My influences? 
Jay Slater : Well, the video revolutiuon really hit me
XCorps : America is far more puritanical in general than we are precieved overseas
Jay Slater : And a little punk although I was too young at the time. But I grew up with the Thatcher regime and censorship has always angered me.

Jay Slater : The Executioner is great although I also like The Rat, The Cynic and the Fist.
